(2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: Geologica; color: #19a48a;\">The per-unit economics differ by 3,500x from top to bottom &#8211; a reminder that &#8220;attractions industry&#8221; describes a family of very different businesses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.theparkdb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/viz_revenue.html\" width=\"100%\" class=\"auto-height-iframe\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>At the top, the destination theme park resorts operate in a category of their own: Disney&#8217;s US and Shanghai operations generated roughly $2.6 billion per resort complex in FY2025, followed by Disneyland Paris (Euro Disney Resort) at about $1.47 billion and Universal Studios at $1.41 billion per location. No other business model in the industry comes within an order of magnitude.<\/p>\n<p>The middle tier is occupied by cruise ships, show parks, and regional parks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carnival earned about $266 million per ship and Royal Caribbean about $242 million (in FY2024) &#8211; cruise ships out-earn every land-based attraction format except the largest theme parks.<\/li>\n<li>Puy du Fou France, a single-site show park, took in approximately $230 million in FY2023 &#8211; more than double China&#8217;s largest show park, Songcheng Hangzhou (~$89 million, FY2025). The other Songcheng &#8220;Romance Parks&#8221; range from ~$35 million (Lijiang) down to ~$2.8 million (Zhangjiajie).<\/li>\n<li>Legoland averaged ~$159 million per park (FY2024), SeaWorld ~$139 million (FY2025), Cedar Fair ~$138 million (FY2023, pre-merger), Six Flags ~$76 million (FY2025), and Haichang Ocean Park ~$36 million (FY2024).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FECs &#8211; smaller boxes &#8211; run on different business models and are in a category of their own.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The leaders here are Topgolf ~$16.8 million per venue (FY2025), Dave &amp; Buster&#8217;s ~$8.7 million (FY2025), Round1 ~$7.3\u20138.5 million depending on market, Joypolis ~$5.7 million (FY2026).<\/li>\n<li>Lucky Strike (formerly Bowlero) ~$3.4 million per bowling center (FY2026), Sandbox VR ~$1.6 million (FY2024), and Escape Hunt around $0.7 million per escape-room venue (FY2024), are leaders of their respective categories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: 'EB Garamond';\">Posted 9\/2026<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":10235,"template":"","class_list":["post-10200","chart","type-chart","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.theparkdb.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/chart\/10200","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.theparkdb.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/chart"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.theparkdb.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/chart"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.theparkdb.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/10235"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.theparkdb.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=10200"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
